Hajime no Ippo

Hajime no Ippo is a boxing anime with one of the best character developments and story line I've seen. The anime revolves around the life of a teenager called Makunouchi Ippo and his journey through the boxing world to find his answer to what it means to be strong. Each fight is like a war, with a portrayal of every opponents history and why they got into boxing. The best thing about this anime is that it never gets boring, it is equal parts funny and filled with action packed fights. Overall this anime is definitely a "must watch" and is one of the best I've seen.

The anime starts with Ippo helping out his mother in their fishing business. Since Ippo and his mother are the only ones in his family and they cannot afford to hire new employees, Ippo has to help out his mother with their fishing business and thus he does not have many friends, also he is subject to bullying due to him smelling like worms.  He meets a pro boxer called Takamura who saves him from the bullies, inspiring ippo to take up boxing. Thus leading to the start of an epic story.... 

 I would give this anime a rating of 9.5/10 .
